Pottery Class for Lazy Dog

We have lots of fantastic ceramics for sale on the Lazy Dog Gallery but thought you'd like to see hows it's done! Lots of us see the finished product in shops and galleries and if you are shopping at lazydoggallery.com then you get to see some of the nicest work available in the UK handmade by some of the most talented British designer makers. But. How many of us get the chance to see the raw talent at work? Yep exactly - not often. So when Diana and I were at an open art  studio recently looking for new talent we decided it would be a great idea to let you guys see how it's done!

Jessica from SJM is well known for her pottery classes and agreed to sit down at the potters wheel and show us how to make a clay pot. It was amazing! If you watch this movie you'll see exactly why its called throwing clay! Jessica demonstrated her incredibly skilled techniques and in no time at all we gawped with open mouths at a wonderful bowl on the wheel. She made it loo so easy - thank you Jessica x
