The tiny glass and crystal beads used to make the jewellery are all painstakingly sewn on individually by hand, using various stitches to achieve the desired result. Working within the beadwork medium allows the intricate and precise placing of colour, tone and shape that acts as a counterbalance to the overall design of the piece.

Jill Devon has been creating Beadwork for over 15 years, and it never ceases to enthral her. Worked with just needle and thread, the tiny glass beads build - one by one - into intricate patterns that may be romantic or offbeat, but always full of delicious tonal colour.
